Joe Lurie, author of the award-winning Perception and Deception, A Mind-Opening Journey Across Cultures,  www.PerceptionAndDeception.com, is Emeritus Executive Director of UC Berkeley’s International House and currently a Cross-Cultural Communications Trainer and Speaker for corporate and nonprofit organizations. He's spoken at the Commonwealth Club, the World Affairs Council and offered intercultural training workshops at Google, American Express and LinkedIn. A former Peace Corps Volunteer, he has directed academic programs abroad in Ghana, France and Kenya for the School for International Training and lectured for Cal Discoveries in Asia, Europe and Africa. His work has been featured on NPR, PBS, C-Span's Book TV and in Harper’s Magazine, US News and World Report. He submitted a new image of himself.
